I'm looking at getting my daughter this board game.

Does anyone have it and is it pretty fun or not worth it?

Are you talking about the old board game, Trivia, Trade and a Trip Through Time? (or something like that) We have it and love it. Know-it-all me thought I would breeze through the questions but some are on tiny details of a story. So I need to go back and re-read the books before I play again. Yes, that's the one. I guess you really need to know about the historical dolls then?

I have it. It's cute, and worth the $10 I paid for it (in near perfect condition, and with all of the pieces) at a used book store.

It's fun for learning more about the historical girls (Felicity, Josefina, Addy, Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly are featured), and should definitely be fun for any little girl who loves board games and the historical American Girls. The game focuses on the books. There's little Trivia Cards, that you have to answer to move along the board (I think, I haven't played it in awhile).

Sample card:

Meet Felicity
1. Felicity often forgot her
A. shoes
B. glasses
C. hat

2. True or False? Ben was Father's new stable hand.

3. Felicity heard about Jiggy Nye's new horse from
A. Elizabeth
B. Mrs. Fitchett
C. William

I'm not sure what it goes for on ebay, or how much it's worth, but I don't know if I would advocate spending more than $20-$25 on it. I imagine it's kind of rare, I think it was only available for a few years.

I used to have a site bookmarked about it, but now I can't find it.

One of my friends has it, and it's really fun! I especially love the little figurines of the dolls which are used as the game markers.

Could be. I just wish they had made them as replacement parts. I got the game with my babysitting money around when it first came out, and it was pretty disappointing to be told all I could do was go buy a whole new game. I just cut out character pictures from extra trading cards to use as replacement pieces instead. It makes for an interesting variation to play with "teams" for each character using pictures of their best friends, too.

It's a great game, though, so I totally recommend it.

I got DD this game for Christmas and she loves it. We play it when her little brother is taking a nap, LOL. Our Addy piece broke.

We have the board game and love to play it. You do need to know about the stories to play because the cards are trivia questions. Although, my husband who has never read the books does play with us and he does pretty good. We also have the card game and I would also recommend it as well. You don't have to know about the books with it.
